Indian Side dish recipes are varied in those that are made using vegetables and other being prepared using Meat products. This simple and tasty delicacy is a fry recipe using Raw Banana or Cooking Banana which is a complete vegetarian dish. Raw Banana is a vegetable which is almost similar to the Fruit Banana but instead used in many vegetable side dishes and curries.
To fry raw banana pieces, firstly they are applied the masala and then shallow fried in a pan to make this vegetarian recipe. This recipe can also be served as a starter recipe before meals or as a side dish with meals.
Ingredients:
Raw Banana 2 Large
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Salt 1 tsp
Red chilly powder 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Lemon Juice 1
Gram Flour/Besan 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Oil 4 tbsp to fry
Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Salt 1 tsp
Red chilly powder 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Lemon Juice 1
Gram Flour/Besan 1 and 1/2 tbsp
Oil 4 tbsp to fry
Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
Method:
1. Firstly, Chop banana into equal pieces and most importantly keep them soaked in water.
2. Secondly, In a bowl
3. Add all the ingredients and 1/2 cup water
Mix it well to form a paste of medium thick consistency

4. Dip the chopped banana pieces into the paste and apply it thoroughly and marinate it
5. Further, Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp oil
Place the pieces in the pan and add 1 tbsp oil
Close lid and fry for 4-5 min on medium flame.

6. Open and further turn/flip the pieces and add 1 tbsp oil
7. Similarly, Close lid and fry for 4-5 min on medium flame.
8. Finally, Take off stove.
Vegetable Banana Fry is ready. Serve Hot
Hence, the Cooking Banana Fry is crispy on the outside and softer inside as the tangy and spicy masala further enhances the taste.
